Stephen Ferris won the Cactus mountain bike race, Sunday, with a record time of 29:14 minutes for the 7.5 km expanded loop. Pat Ferris was second at 34:25 and Gary Hilderman third at 34:49. Adam Currie was 4th at 44:24, Gord Harris 5th at 46:30 and Davide Loro 6th at 49:12. Ken Lane had a bike malfunction and could not finish.
Coming up:
-Wednesday mountain bike race 7 pm at the Cactus Trials.
-Thursday night Baldonnel time trial at 7 pm.

Jay Morrison's bike has been returned!! |

The RCMP have found and returned Jay Morrison's stolen bike, Wednesday afternoon.
It came in time for a last minute tune -up and a test ride, ready to go in it's special traveling case.
Jay leaves, Thursday, to go to France to ride the 1200 km Paris - Brest - Paris event with fellow Blizzards Wim Kok and Eric Snucins.
Thank you to the Fort St. John RCMP and all the other people who have been out looking and watching for Jay's bike, this past few days!

It was an Elliott Family sweep at the finish of the Sunday night Blizzard road race on the Cecil Lake 40 km circuit. It was a fast and close 5 rider sprint finish. Jake Elliott jumped ahead at the sprint finish to win, with his dad Les Elliott catching Pat Ferris on the finish line to get second place. Irvin Tang was 4th and George Gamble 5th all at 1:13:16 hours.
Richard Wood was 6th at 1:14:28 and Celeste Pakstas 7th at 1:15:42.
Davide Loro won the sprint for 8th with Dean Lowry, Gord Harris and Owen Giebelhaus all next at 1:18:00.

Be on the lookout for a red and white specialized cyclo cross bike with
drop bars
58 cm
red and white
spd pedals
armadillo tires
Stolen at 2 pm by a white haired man with white beard from the bike shop at 2 pm.
Might be abandoned in a ditch.
That is Jay Morrison's bike!
