Pat Ferris won Mountain bike race #1 on the Cactus trails, Wednesday night. He did the 6 km long lap in a time of 30:26 minutes. Andrew Kovacs was second at 30:59 and George Gamble third at 32:48. Adam Currie did 45:20.
Sam Keats had a 21:31 for the 'short course' and Kelsey Young 29:48 for the 'Quail Trail'.

May 15th Duathlon results |

The Blizzard Bike Club had their third Duathlon of the season at Baldonnel School on Tuesday, May 15th. The weather was much warmer than the past few weeks but we still had a fairly brisk west wind on the course. Several participants had personal bests despite the windy conditions!
The first male finisher was Patrick Nesbitt with a new course record of 30:36 for the 2km run, 10km bike and 2km run. Second was Irvin Tang with 31:17 and third Gord Harris with 36:38. The first female finisher was Sandy McDonald with a time of 37:01, second Celeste Pakstas with 39:29 and third Normal Webster with 42:52. Irvin Tang leads the trophy series with 13 points for the men with Patrick Nesbitt and Gord Harris close behind with 10 points. In the woman's division Sandy McDonald with a perfect 15 points, with Norma Webster in second with 10 points and Celeste Pakstas rising steadily with 8 points.
Other finishing times were as follows: Bob Andrews 37:14, Davide Loro 39:36, Roger St. Jean 39:54, Pat Ferris 40:54, Dan Webster 42:09, Heather McCracken 44:32 and Dee-Ann Stickel with 46:17. For the 1/8/1km division Sarah Webster was the winner with at time of 43:15.
The next Duathlon will take place next Tuesday night, May 22nd at 7pm sharp.

Hello to you all
We want to remind everyone that the registration for the up and coming Triathlon on June 3rd is rapidly approaching. There are about 40 spots left open for the individual athlete.
Please get your registration in before it’s to late. Registration will close 1 week before the event so we don’t want you to miss out.
