Peter King is racing on the Velodrome in Bromont Quebec in the Canadian Track Para-Cycling Championships. That is 1 gear and NO brakes!
Day 1: 7th in the 200/500m race and 7th in the 'C' Pursuit.

Canada's Ryder Hesjedal came very close to pulling off a victory in the Tour De France, Stage 3, on the cobbles!
He was caught a few km's finishing 4th in the sprint group.
Ryder (from Victoria) is sitting in 4th, overall, with fellow CDN Michael Barry 59th and lots of Tour to go.

Huge crowd of cyclists in Devon, this past weekend, for the Tim Hortons Junior and Masters Nationals.
Richard Wood brought home a silver medal in the 60+ category, in Edmonton, Friday. He went on to get 7th in the Saturday road race, as well.
Pat Ferris was 37th in the 50-59 90k road race.
Geoff McDonald of Grande Prairie did well bringing home 2 silver medals, for the ITT and the RR 30-39 age class. Baline Cannonball Richter also did well, just missing a medal in the ITT.
Peter King was 5th in Beace Quebec at the National Paralympic Championships ITT, this past weekend, as well.

Blizzard Bike Club, Mountain Bike race #1, June 30th at the "Cactus Trails" near the Beatton River.
Results (first mountain bike race of the season)
Two Lap Event: Gary Hilderman was first with a time of 35:13, second was Trevor McDonell with 36:16, third Kevin Shaw in 39:04, George Gamble fourth in 40:04 and Roger St. Jean fifth in 41:22.
One Lap Event: Frank Dyck was first with a time of 21:00 and Adam Currie was second with a time of 24:21.
Kid's Loop: LT McDonell did one lap in 8:24, Eric Woodruff did two laps in 9:37 and Connor McDonell also did two laps in 11:52
Coming up: Next Wednesday is MTB race #2 7 PM, followed by a campfire bike club meeting.
