JULY 15 BLIZ TIME TRIAL RESULTS |

Kevin Shaw won the Baldonnel Thursday night time trial under very windy conditions, with a time of 26:01. Sandy McDonald was second at 27:33 and Roger St. Jean third at 27:49. Les Elliott was 4th at 27:52 and Richard Wood 5th at 28:42.
Bob Andrews was 6th at 29:05, Gord Harris 29:40, Trevor McDonnell 30:00, Ken Nix 30:56, Rob Churchill 31:39, Owen Giebelhaus 32:35 and Adam Currie 34:43. Tristen and Barb did 25:55 for the 8 km.

Coming up:
-Sunday 40 km time trial at Goodlow at 7 pm.
-Stephen Ferris, Colter Young and Geoff McDonald (GP) are in Vancouver for the Pro-Am Super week Series, the Tour of Whiterock.

Pat Ferris won the Wednesday mountain bike race #3 with the season's fastest one 'long lap' time of 25:35 minutes. 2009 Club Mountain bike Champion Trevor McDonnell was second at 26:08 and George Gamble third at 29:10. Adam Currie did 24:44 for the short course.
Conditions were cool, dry and fast on the Cactus circuit.

Another tough, hot, 204 km mountain stage 9
Victoria's Ryder Hesjedal is sitting in 12th, 5:42 minutes off Andy Schleck's top time. Toronto's Michael Barry is in 93rd.
Big news, today, is Australia's Cadel Evans losing big times and may be out of overall contention.
Schleck and Contador are neck and neck with lots more mountains to climb.
Ryder is trying for top 10 by the time they reach Paris.

Kevin Shaw won the 16 mile Cecil lake Challenge Cup time trial, Sunday, with a time of 25:00 minutes. Shayne Reid (GP) was second at 25:50 and Pat Ferris third at 26:02.
The Blizzard A2 team won the afternoon team time trial at 1:10:44 (Pat Ferris, Jolea Bilodeau and Les Elliott) on the 40 km circuit. The Grande Prairie A- was second at 1:12:30 (Warren Miller, Shayne Reid, Francis Plum and Dave Jaeger). The Blizzard R.o.T. team was third at 1:14:38 (August, Jake Elliott, Ken Nix and Darren Guliov). Thanks to Sabina for timing the afternoon race!
The Blizzards won the 2 race series 35 to 16. This brings the total points for GP to 188, FSJ 187 and Dawson Creek 68. One race in September 15 is the final Challenge Cup race of the year.
Other 16 k times were Dave Jaeger (GP) 27:24, Richard Wood 27:36, Warren Miller (GP) 28:41, Frances Plum (GP) 29:42, Ken Nix 29:57, Dean Lowry 30:14, Owen Giebelhaus 31:32 and Adam Currie 33:13.
Coming up:
-Wed Mountain bike #3 at 7 pm
-Thurs Baldonnel time trial 7 pm
-Sunday 40 km time trial Goodlow at 7 pm.
Geoff McDonald (GP) Stephen Ferris and Colter Young are in Vancouver for the Tour of Whiterock, July 16-18.
