DC Try a Triathlon Results |

Several Fort St. John participants took part in the Dawson Creek Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, the 25th, with many bring home the hardware!
The race included a 0.5km swim, 15km bike and 4km run.
Barb Polehoykie claimed first in the 46 to 55 category, Gord Harris was second in the 46 to 55 male, Kathryn Fairweather was second in the 18 to 30 category and Sandra McDonald was third in the 31 to 45 female age group. Melanie Olthuis, also for Fort St. John was third in the 18 to 30 female age group. Overall female finishers were Sandra McDonald in third place, Barb Polehoykie in fourth.
It was a great day for a race and a good warmup for the upcoming Fort St. John Triathlon on June 1st, starting at 9:00 am. Registrations must be in by May 27th at the latest.
In the attached photo is left to right, Floyd Polehoykie, Gord Harris, Kathryn Fairweather, Barb Polehoykie, and Sandra McDonald taken following the DC triathlon. All were participants in the DC triathlon this weekend.
