Triathloners busy weekend in FN and USA |

Blizzard Bike Club June 22, 2008
The Blizzard’s Billy Bucknall did the Ironman Idaho’s Coeur d’ alene (pron: coor da lane) Billy finished 30th in the 30-34 age class. He did the 2.5 mile swim in 1:08 hours, 112 mile bike in 5:37 and the 26.2 mile run in 3:35 for a total of 10:25 hours.

At the same time there were 4 Blizzards competing in a rainy and wet Fort Nelson Triathlon and came home with 3 first place finishes.
Kathryn Fairweather was 1st in the Female 20-29 (2:29) and had the fastest overall female bike leg of 1:14:58. Barb Polehoykie was 1st in F40-49 (2:31) (and winner of barbecue) Gord ‘The Hammer’ Harris 1st in Male 50-59 (2:26). Floyd Polehoykie 3rd in M40-49 (3:18)
The Fort Nelson Triathlon is an Olympic distance featuring a 1km swim, 40km bike and 10km run.
